Wood stooges.

My friend Ross does some amazing custom furniture building. I rent space from him out of his woodshop for my painting's a pretty cool set up... we have Ross making furniture in the main shop and my painting zone... and our friends punk band The JunK uses the front office area to practice in the evenings. Makes for a pretty creative environment on any given day!

Here's some of his furniture stuff.

Ross gets tubed sometimes too.

Best Sunday ever! Spent all morning surfing P. street with a crew of friends....and all afternoon at Disneyland (well...California Adventure) with my wife, Kristen...going on rides and eating food...then a nap on the couch with the T.V. on!

I won Dumbo playing the carnival games!

We were terrified by the Tower Of Terror!

My friend Fuzzy just today turned me on to Dan Eldon...if you've never heard of him (like me until today) here is a quick bit about his life and tragic death at the young age of 22.

By the time he was twenty-two, Dan Eldon had led a relief mission across Africa; worked as a graphic designer in New York; studied (intermittently) at four colleges; traveled through Europe, Africa, Japan, and the US; founded a charity for Mozambiquan refugees; directed a film; written a book; started up his own photography business; and become a photojournalist for Reuters news agency, covering the famine and civil war in Somalia. There, in 1993, he was killed in an eruption of mob violence while on assignment. In a world of rules and regularity, Eldon was a renegade, a risk-taker, and an adventurer. But, despite all his travels, he knew that the interior landscape is the only one truly worth exploring, and this is the journey he dedicated himself to recording. His is no ordinary journal; it is an astonishing seventeen-volume collage of photos, drawings, words, maps, clippings, paint, scraps, shards, and trash that reveals his strange and vivid life.

Here are some of his collages.

His life/art is an amazingly sad and beautiful story...look him the books...see the's worth it!

Thanks again Fuzz!!!
